課程概述

本課程分為三部份，第一部份「動物與性」從精神分析的個案出發，以佛洛伊德的鼠人、狼人及Emmy von. N、小漢斯等案例，探討精神分析如何看待動物/性與主體的關係，第二三部份分別為「動物與創造性」、「動物與語言」，將以其他重要理論家對精神分析的挑戰為探討之重點（例如德勒茲與瓜達里何以認為佛洛伊德關於動物恐懼的論述有所不足、其「化成動物」(becoming animal)的概念又能否/如何實踐在文學、藝術甚至卡通動畫上？德希達如何解構拉岡的動物觀，反駁其關於非人類動物不會「假裝在假裝」、也沒有語言與無意識等說法？等等）。第二部份將嬝牧熔z論包括德勒茲與瓜達里的「化成動物」之說、Steve Baker的後現代動物藝術論，以及阿多諾與班雅民關於迪士尼米老鼠卡通的論辯；第三部份則將講述拉岡、德希達、以及班雅民文獻中關於動物與語言的議題。 

課程目標
 過去在思考主體性的問題時，動物往往是被排除在外的，但晚近越來越多的理論反思都發現，若要深入探討認同、主體性或他者等問題，也必須將動物納入考量。有鑒於精神分析的個案提供了充沛的資源可一窺女性恐懼或動物恐懼與主體認同之間的糾結，本課程因此以精神分析理論為起點，以期探討動物/性在主體及文明成立過程中可能產生的影響；另一方面，本課程亦試圖開啟其他理論與精神分析在動物議題上的對話，除藉以凸顯精神分析論述的動物觀其侷限之處外，亦意在進一步揭露文化對於動物此意符的各種銘刻方式。課程預期達成的目標，在於一方面使學生得以接觸如精神分析等當代重要理論，另一方面也能以動物此議題為起點，開啟「去人類中心」的思考角度。 
課程要求
 課前嬝物w教材並出席參與隨堂討論、一次口頭報告及繳交一份期末書面報告。
